When I fitted this harness on my 9-mo old Olde English Bulldogge, I couldn't help but to stand back with pride knowing how he'll be growing into this gorgeous harness for the rest of his life. Super thick leather, high quality metal fixtures. The quick release on the side is very sturdy and I don't anticipate any problems with it. Seems like it's made by someone who's good at making horse saddles. Same kind of leather.
One feature I didn't even notice. The whole harness pivots with your dog's body! The top and bottom brass tri-connectors are circular on one side, so the whole front half of the harness moves with Buford as he gallops around. The leather is super sturdy so it would restrict the dog's mobility a little if they used chincy hardware.
Another feature I hadn't anticipated is the big comfy fuzzy pad on the top of the harness. Most of this hefty harness's weight rests on the top of Buford's spine, and if this pad wasn't there, I imagine it would dig into his back over time. This pad prevents this where cheaper harnesses don't.
It's gorgeous as well, with the shiny gold and sturdy leather. I can't wait to parade him around the neighborhood. =)
Buford's got plenty of room to grow into his new big-boy harness. I'm glad I measured his chest girth twice before finally settling on this one.
I can't recommend this enough. I'm thrilled with the purchase and it's worth every penny.
