Good quality, but not useful to me December 13, 2019 Reviewer: Anonymous from United States   I have a standard poodle which is a service dog and I wanted the harness so I could hold the top handle for balance. Unfortunately, the handle was not long enough to reach my hand and there is no way to adjust it. Also, the straps have no padding so holding the handle (had I been able to) would have chaffed the dogs chest and neck and been uncomfortable. For these reasons, I down rated and returned it. Has helped restore my dog's quality of life October 3, 2019 Reviewer: Anonymous from United States   My Dal suddenly went blind 2 years ago and has been slowly becoming less confident as time went on. This dog loved walks and training in the park pre-blindness and those things became too much for her. We were to the point it was too stressful to try to take her for walks because she became so worried about two houses away from home in either direction. I knew that if she had something that would help her clearly identify where she was in relation to where I was walking it would help her. I looked for a harness similar to those used for dogs who are assisting blind individuals with a stiff handle to attach to the harness. I located this and bought a stiff extension/handle that I attached to this harness and my Dal's world has suddenly opened up for her again. When she can tell where we are she feels safe again and knows she isn't going to run into a wall or step off a ledge. She is back to having all the confidence in the world. Tail is wagging and she is happy and moving fast to enjoy her world on walks again. She has even started running with my son-in-law with this harness with the extension handle I bought attached. Warms my heart to see her free to be her happy active self with us again. I'm so glad I found this. It is doing wonders to help us maintain my girl's quality of life. The clear "Blind dog" label is great too. So many folks see a Dal in public and want to come up and pet her not realizing she can't see them coming and reaching for her and they startle her which was also not good for her confidence. I spend a lot of time running interference if we are in public and this clear announcement helps so much in that regard as well. Was this review helpful to you?
