Coconino Humane Association
The Coconino Humane Association was founded in 1955 by a group of concerned and dedicated people who felt there needed to be a change in the way animals were being treated in our community.
The shelter was built with donations from businesses, service organizations, and a few very dedicated individuals. The Forest Service leased five acres to the Humane Shelter, located in the area where Interstate 40 and Butler Avenue now intersect.
Even with these contributions, it took three years to complete the project. Through the work of the founders and many other concerned and dedicated people in the community, Northern Arizona received its first Animal Shelter in 1958.

PETS HAVEN
Pets Haven is a "no-kill" non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation for animal rescue based in NW Arkansas. Pets Haven was founded in 1992 but rescue efforts go back more than 20 years. Pets Haven is a leader in providing humane care to lost and abandoned animals, rescuing sick, injured and abused animals, adopting pets to new homes, helping pets stay in homes, and educating pet owners and the public about the needs of companion animals. Last Chance Arkansas
Last Chance Arkansas is an all volunteer organization that has one primary purpose - finding homes for the many homeless dogs in the Little Rock Animal Village. If you would like to know more about why we do what we do, Georgia's story will help you understand.
This is Georgia when she entered the shelter. Georgia was in a dire situation - pregnant and trying to survive alone on the streets of Little Rock when she was picked up. Although she then had a warm, dry place to sleep, she was still very scared and lonely living in the shelter. She deserved a loving home, a soft bed, good food, toys and, most importantly, a loving family.

Airedale Terrier Rescue & Adoption
ATRA is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, evaluation and placement of Airedale Terriers who lost their homes. Our volunteer network spans 14 of the mid-western states plus the province of Ontario. We receive no compensation other than the deep satisfaction of knowing that we are saving the lives of these dogs who are vigilant guards, relentless messengers, gentle baby-sitters, brave soldiers, hilarious clowns, and mostly dear friends.
ATRA was formed in 1995 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation. We take in over 250 Airedales every year. Our volunteers help with transporting, fostering, doing home visits, making phone calls, putting together seminars, distributing literature, marching in parades, raising money and much more. We are passionate about what we do.

City of Berkeley
The City of Berkeley’s Animal Care Services (BACS) is a division of the Office of the City Manager. We provide a wide range of services to our cities’ residents and their pets.We provide field services, seven days a week, to the cities of Berkeley and Albany. These services include the enforcement of city ordinances related to animals, removal of killed or injured wildlife, impoundment of stray pets, and investigation of animal-related neglect, cruelty, nuisance and bite cases.At our shelter, we house domestic animals from the cities of Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville, and Piedmont. We provide not only a safe haven for these homeless pets, but also adoption services, advice on animal-related topics, lost and found pet reports, and free or low-cost spay/neuter vouchers for Berkeley residents’ dogs and cats.
